RIP Knute...

We had to let Knute go today she was having trouble breathing and we took her to the vet and on the x-ray it showed she barley had any lungs left that the cancer had taken over. Our vet said she would probably not make it through the night and was in pain, so we loved on here and told her we loved her and she was the sweetest dog we have ever had and she just looked at us like she knew and was ready. She touch our hearts so much and it was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. We buried her right next to her mom. She was a real trooper the doc gave her 6 months and she lasted 9 and never showed any pain and she only showed the sign of the breathing problems yesterday and today. It just came on so fast. We just wanted to thank you again for letting us have them and wished we could have gotten them sooner so we could good have spent more time with them. You do such a wonderful job its it truly and honor to have meet you and shared our girls with you. Thank you, Stephanie, Eric, and Kyle McGuire

Well, we have have some very sad news, Ms. Aurora passed away this morning. She passed in her sleep thank goodness, we just loved her and spolied her to her last days. She will be missed very much and are so proud we were able to spend as much time with her that we did. Thank you again for all your support and for all you do helping these wonderful dogs. On a good note knute is doing good and all her hair has grown back in, she is getting along just find and shows no signs of any pain and still loves to play and run and be spolied. We are very sad about Aurora, she was a wonderful mom to Knute and a wonderful dog to us and loved to have her belly rubbed and loved taking baths. Talk to you soon. The McGuire Family

Knute Update :(

Posted May 19, 2010 9:51 am
We got and update today on Knute's progress, she has bone cancer and the vet knows he did not get it all when he amputated her leg. He stated he would have had to take out her entire pelvis, and do chemo or radiation. The cost will be in the thousands of dollars. Even if we do the chemo they still only give her a 18 months to live or less. The McGuire Family will keep our dear Princess Knute comfy and spoil her as much as possible until it's her time. :(

Knute has cancer :(

Knute is having a right hind leg amputation as a tumor has basically eaten thru her bone. She will undergo chemo after the surgery, which the vets hope will extend her life 18 another months. Her time is limited and we are so thankful that her and her mother Aurora are in a loving, caring home. Aurora is her mother and they are quite bonded. I pray that Aurora will cope to the difficult times ahead. Please keep them in your prayers. Thank you.

The girls were adopted yesterday!
